Here at Disability Means Business we don't benefit in any way if you or anyone else becomes self employed, so I’m not sure why you think we are spreading propaganda. If you read the majority of our articles the site is about empowering people to start up a business with minimum risk by using start up schemes to your advantage and informing the reader of the pitfalls. I believe business is not right for you; you’re probably best off doing what you’re doing now. Most business grants are for business start up and support people to get off benefits. I have never heard of this in all my 8 years of working as a business adviser. A large proportion of disabled entrepreneurs work from home and access grants, benefits and access to work. I would speak to someone else at the job centre (maybe her manager) and ensure they are giving out the right advice.
